About Me
I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2013 and my MBChB degree was awarded with First Class Honours. I am dedicated to family health care and find the continuity of working with a family over time very rewarding. At UCT I received undergraduate awards in the fields of Orthopaedics, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology and Anatomy.
I also graduated as a Physiotherapist and practiced full time for a year and part time during my medical training.
I completed my Medical Internship at Victoria Hospital and my Community Service at Mowbray Maternity Hospital.
I joined Kendalwood Surgery as a partner in 2018 and after 7 years of dedicated practice I opened Dr Brian Behrens GP Rooms in 2024.

Dr Rosie Allanson is a compassionate and dedicated medical doctor with a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care. She believes in the importance of continuity of care and works closely with her patients to support their long-term health and wellbeing, taking into account each individual’s unique needs, lifestyle, and goals.
Dr Allanson obtained her MBChB degree from Stellenbosch University. She completed her internship at Tygerberg Hospital, where she gained extensive experience across a wide range of medical and surgical disciplines. She then went on to complete her community service year at Kleinvlei Day Hospital near Stellenbosch. This experience further strengthened her dedication to family orientated healthcare.
Prior to her medical degree, Dr Allanson completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Life Sciences, followed by an Honours degree in Medical Physiology, both at Stellenbosch University. This strong academic foundation underpins her clinical approach and commitment to evidence-based medicine.
Dr Allanson is passionate about ongoing professional development and strives to stay up to date with the latest advancements in medical care. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healthcare journey.
